Lifestyles for the Disabled aims to foster a healthy and independent lifestyle for adults with developmental disabilities. Part of that involves providing nutrition services to help participants maintain their nutrition and thrive. These services include The Lifestyles Caffè at our Willowbrook campus and the S.I. Zoo Café.

Nutrition for adults with developmental disabilities is one of our top priorities at Lifestyles for the Disabled. We strive to provide healthy options while giving opportunities and support to our participants, enabling them to learn valuable skills and thrive. Part of our objective at The Lifestyles Caffè is to offer an occupational education to participants in our Day Habilitation program, through which they can gain hands-on work experience. Working at The Lifestyles, Caffè teaches participants concepts such as:
At the Staten Island Zoo, our cafe offers lunch, snacks, and S.I. Zoo souvenirs throughout the day to all zoo patrons. Like at The Lifestyles Caffè, we place emphasis not only on serving great food but also on fostering community participation in the individuals we serve.
