Our Greenhouse program engages participants in a variety of seasonal horticultural activities, from starting seeds in winter to spring garden projects and cultivating summer produce such as tomatoes, pickles, and herbs for our Fall Sale. During the holiday season, participants also create wreaths and grow poinsettias for sales and community events. The dedicated Greenhouse crew takes pride in their accomplishments, remains actively engaged in their horticultural pursuits, and shares plenty of laughs along the way. Additionally, we offer a Woodshop program that complements these activities, providing participants with even more creative outlets.

Our Woodshop program engages participants in hands-on woodworking, teaching skills from measuring and cutting to sanding, assembling, and finishing projects. Participants create a variety of products for sale and community events, showcasing their work throughout the community—including Staten Island Chuck’s house at the Staten Island Zoo. The Woodshop crew takes pride in their craftsmanship, stays engaged, and shares plenty of laughs while learning valuable skills. Additionally, our Greenhouse program complements these efforts by incorporating horticultural activities that enhance participants' overall experience and promote a sense of community.
